In the Spotlight...

Waynesburg University Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) is offering a new professional development workshop, “Ambassadors in the Field.”

Those teachers who fulfill ambassadorship requirements by this summer will be eligible for the “Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Ambassador Fellowship” program in August 2008.  Under this program, the Library will fund 15 Ambassadors to travel to Washington, D.C. for one week to network and conduct research for their self-designed primary source related projects to be implemented in their home districts. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding and use of primary sources by working directly with Library curators and staff.

Information about the workshop is currently being distributed to curriculum coordinators, if you are interested in attending contact your curriculum coordinator or contact the Waynesburg University Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) office at 724-852-3499 or nwrick@waynesburg.edu
